Job summary

Vivie offers a Resident Assistant role in Minnesota, focused on hands-on support for residents in daily activities, meals, and safety in a caring community.

The position is Part Time (48 hours per pay period) with evening and overnight shifts, every other weekend and holidays, plus shift differentials and a robust benefits package to support wellbeing and growth.

Qualifications

• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification preferred and may be required.
• Ability to pass a state background check.
• Physical ability to perform duties.
• English literacy to communicate with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Support meals, restorative care, and life skills per resident preferences.
• Encourage social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare, store and serve meals, beverages and snacks.
• Monitor health or emotional changes and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them settle in.
• Perform other duties to support the team and care.

Part Time |48 hours per pay period| 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. | Every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range:

$19 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
