Job summary

Vivie is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant in Minnesota to join our nursing team. This part-time, non-exempt role involves hands-on resident support, daily living activities, and promoting safe, dignified living for residents in our community.

You will assist with meals, personal care, mobility, and social activities while working closely with nursing staff. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, and prior caregiving experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a state background study.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification preferred.
• Clear and compassionate communication abilities.
• Commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Job description

Schedule: Part Time | 16 hours/pay period | 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. | Every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.

• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
