Job summary

Vivie in Cambridge, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant to join our care team to provide hands-on support and meaningful connections with residents.

You will assist with daily activities, meals, and mobility, while promoting safety and dignity in a caring living environment. The role requires teamwork, clear communication, and reliability in a non-exempt, hourly schedule.

Qualifications

• CNA certification from MN or WI preferred; state requirements may apply.
• Ability to pass a state-required background check.
• Experience as a caregiver or related role preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the role.
• Clear and compassionate communication with residents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting preferences.
• Encourage residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Schedule: Full Time |64 hours per pay period| 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. | Every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range: $19 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state‑required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
