Job summary

Vivie is hiring a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on support to residents, helping with daily activities and fostering meaningful connections. You will assist with bathing, grooming, meals, and mobility while promoting safety and comfort in a caring environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, teamwork, and complying with health and safety standards. Minnesota/Wisconsin CNA certification is preferred, with potential for growth and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Clear and compassionate communication with residents, staff, and families.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills in a caregiving setting.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well for documentation and instructions.
• Minnesota/Wisconsin CNA certification preferred and may be required for some levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities: bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills per preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals and snacks while ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Monitor changes in health or mood and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition to their new home.
• Perform other duties to support the team and ensure quality care.

Schedule: Part Time |28 hours/pay period| 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.| Includes every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range: $19 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well‑being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Clear and compassionate communication abilities.
• A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
