Job summary

Great Lakes Management in West Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents. You will assist with daily living activities, participate in dining and activities, and communicate changes to the case manager.

The role requires compassionate, responsible individuals with prior long-term care or assisted living experience. Shift differentials and a 401(k) match are offered, with pay ranging from $19 to $23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions in resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the service agreement.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the RN per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, and communication book.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilitie s :
