Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a Casual Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and companionship to residents. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, participating in meals and activities, and communicating changes to the case manager.

The position offers competitive pay, shift differentials, and benefits for full-time staff. Applicants should have six months of long-term care experience and be registered as a Nursing Assistant or CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement.
