Parkview Senior Living in Reinbeck, IA is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide personal care and daily living support with empathy and compassion. You will collaborate with the nursing team to ensure safe resident care and effective communication across shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility; medication management after certification; and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to obtain Medication Manager certification (we will help you get certified).
• Strong ability to engage with residents, families, and teammates with empathy and tact.
• Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care and service to others.
• Prior direct care experience is a plus, but training is provided.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

What You’ll Do as a Resident Assistant:

• Resident Care: Provide personal, hands‑on care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and other daily living activities.
• Daily Tasks: Assist with organizing, cleaning, laundry, and providing meal support to ensure our residents enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling day.
• Medication Management: After certification, you'll be responsible for preparing and administering medications and assisting with medical treatments under the supervision of the nurse.
• Documentation & Communication: Accurately chart resident interactions and communicate effectively with your team to ensure continuity of care.
• Resident Rights: Uphold residents' rights and dignity, ensuring they are respected in all interactions.
• Team Support: Work collaboratively with your teammates to ensure all residents' needs are met promptly and compassionately.
