Job summary

Parkview Senior Living, part of Western Home Communities, in Reinbeck, IA, seeks a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to residents in daily activities within a nurturing environment.

You will assist with personal care, meals, and mobility, while documenting care and coordinating with the nursing team to ensure quality, respectful service every day.

What You’ll Do as a Resident Assistant:

• Resident Care: Provide personal, hands‑on care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and other daily living activities.

• Daily Tasks: Assist with organizing, cleaning, laundry, and providing meal support to ensure our residents enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling day.

• Medication Management: After certification, you’ll be responsible for preparing and administering medications and assisting with medical treatments under the supervision of the nurse.

• Documentation & Communication: Accurately chart resident interactions and communicate effectively with your team to ensure continuity of care.

• Resident Rights: Uphold residents’ rights and dignity, ensuring they are respected in all interactions.

• Team Support: Work collaboratively with your teammates to ensure all residents’ needs are met promptly and compassionately.

What You’ll Need to Join Our Team:

• Must be at least 18 years old to obtain Medication Manager certification (we’ll help you get certified if needed).

• Strong ability to engage with residents, families, and team members with empathy and tact.

• A commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care and service to others.

• Prior direct care experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right candidate.

• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
