Job summary

Parkview Senior Living is actively seeking a Resident Assistant to provide personalized, compassionate care for residents in Reinbeck, Iowa. You will support daily living activities and assist with meals, mobility, bathing, dressing, and mobility while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

You will work closely with nurses and teammates, with responsibilities including medication support after certification and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal, hands-on care including bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and daily living activities.

• Accurately chart resident interactions and communicate with the team to ensure continuity of care.

What You’ll Do as a Resident Assistant

• Resident Care: Provide personal, hands‑on care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and other daily living activities.
• Daily Tasks: Assist with organizing, cleaning, laundry, and providing meal support to ensure our residents enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling day.
• Medication Management: After certification, you'll be responsible for preparing and administering medications and assisting with medical treatments under the supervision of the nurse.
• Documentation & Communication: Accurately chart resident interactions and communicate effectively with your team to ensure continuity of care.
• Resident Rights: Uphold residents' rights and dignity, ensuring they are respected in all interactions.
• Team Support: Work collaboratively with your teammates to ensure all residents' needs are met promptly and compassionately.

What You’ll Need to Join Our Team

• Must be at least 18 years old to obtain Medication Manager certification (we’ll help you get certified if needed).
• Strong ability to engage with residents, families, and team members with empathy and tact.
• A commitment to compassionate, high-quality care and service to others.
• Prior direct care experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right candidate.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
