Job summary

Parkview Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide personal, hands-on care and support to our residents. You will assist with daily living activities, meal support, and collaborate with a compassionate team to ensure high-quality care.

Certification support for Medication Manager will be provided; weekend and holiday shifts may be required. We value empathy, strong communication, and teamwork to create a nurturing environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to obtain Medication Manager certification (we’ll help you get certified if needed).
• Strong ability to engage with residents, families, and team members with empathy and tact.
• A commitment to compassionate, high-quality care and service to others.
• Prior direct care experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right candidate.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Provide personal, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and other daily living activities.
• Daily Tasks: Assist with organizing, cleaning, laundry, and providing meal support to ensure residents enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling day.
• Medication Management: After certification, you'll be responsible for preparing and administering medications and assisting with medical treatments under the supervision of the nurse.
• Documentation & Communication: Accurately chart resident interactions and communicate effectively with your team to ensure continuity of care.
• Resident Rights: Uphold residents' rights and dignity, ensuring they are respected in all interactions.
• Team Support: Work collaboratively with your teammates to ensure all residents' needs are met promptly and compassionately.
