Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Aberdeen, SD, is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and basic care. The RA helps with personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and social activities, and collaborates with the nursing team to promote well-being.

Experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred, with current Nursing Assistant certification and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant dependent upon state regulations
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care and assist residents with daily living activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, meals and social-recreational activities.
• Collaborate with the nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, consultants, residents and families to promote resident well-being.
