Job summary

Morning Pointe Senior Living is seeking a Resident Assistant/CNA to provide compassionate daily care in our assisted living communities. You will support residents with activities of daily living, meals, and personal care in a respectful, secure environment that preserves independence.

The ideal candidate shows a can-do attitude, enjoys helping others, and can lift up to 50 lbs while standing for long periods. 18+ years old and reliable transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Reliable transportation and dependable work ethic.
• A 'can do' attitude and enjoyment of caring for others.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance with activities of daily living to meet residents' needs with respect and dignity.
• This may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making and other duties.
• Assist residents with meals and snacks and help with setup and feeding if necessary.
• Housekeeping duties as necessary.

Resident Assistants/CNAs are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their normal assignments whenever necessary to maintain a quality care environment for our residents. As part of a team-oriented workplace, Resident Assistants participate in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need. The typical work of a Resident Assistant can include:

1. Providing assistance with activities of daily living to meet the resident's physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity
2. This may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making, and other duties of care
3. Assist residents with meals and snacks
4. Assist with setup, service and feeding if necessary
5. Housekeeping duties as necessary
