Job summary

Morning Pointe Assisted Living is hiring a Resident Assistant/CNA to support residents with daily living activities in a caring, respectful environment. This role includes helping with bathing, grooming, meals, mobility and routine housekeeping, while maintaining residents' dignity and independence.

We seek individuals with a compassionate attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills who can lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must have a can-do attitude and enjoy caring for others.
• Reliable transportation and dependable work ethic are required.
• Strong reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance to residents with dignity and respect.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, laundry, bed making, and other care duties.
• Assist residents with meals and feeding as needed.
• Support housekeeping duties and ensure a clean, safe living environment.
• Work as part of a team to deliver compassionate senior care.

Resident Assistants/CNAs are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their normal assignments whenever necessary to maintain a quality care environment for our residents. As part of a team-oriented workplace, Resident Assistants participate in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need. The typical work of a Resident Assistant can include:

1. Providing assistance with activities of daily living to meet the resident's physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity
2. This may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making, and other duties of care
3. Assist residents with meals and snacks
4. Assist with setup, service and feeding if necessary
5. Housekeeping duties as necessary
