Job summary

Morning Pointe Senior Living is seeking a Resident Assistant/CNA to provide daily living support to residents in our assisted living community in Frankfort, KY. You will assist with activities of daily living, meals, mobility, and personal care, while maintaining dignity and respect.

Reliable transportation and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required; we offer benefits and career development opportunities. A caring, professional attitude is essential for success in this team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.
• Excellent patient care and compassionate attitude.
• Good reading, writing, math and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living to meet residents' physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making and other duties of care.
• Assist residents with meals and snacks; assist with setup, service and feeding as necessary.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as necessary.

Resident Assistants/CNAs are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their normal assignments whenever necessary to maintain a quality care environment for our residents. As part of a team-oriented workplace, Resident Assistants participate in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need. The typical work of a Resident Assistant can include:

1. Providing assistance with activities of daily living to meet the resident's physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity
2. This may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making, and other duties of care
3. Assist residents with meals and snacks
4. Assist with setup, service and feeding if necessary
5. Housekeeping duties as necessary
