Job summary

Great Lakes Management Co. in Plymouth, MN is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents in a long-term care setting.

You will assist with ADLs, help residents participate in dining and activities, and promptly communicate changes to the case manager. This part-time position offers AM and NOC shifts, shift differentials, a 401(k) match, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individual service plan.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection.
• Complete all required documentation daily and on the service schedule.

Skills

Experience in long-term care or senior

CNA/HHA/CNA certification

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .
