Ebenezer is seeking a Resident Assistant for The Pillars of Hermantown in Minnesota. The role provides personal care, health-related services under RN direction, medication assistance on the job, and support for daily living activities.

The position includes evening shifts, on-site hours, and a full benefits package. Candidates will complete a Job Insights Questionnaire as part of the process to better understand strengths and work preferences.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Ability to use technology (computers, handheld devices, cell phones, fax).
• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry.

Responsibilities

Pillars of Hermantown

The Pillars of Hermantown is Ebenezer's newest managed senior living community in northern Minnesota, near Duluth and will offer Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care options with 105 total apartments near major crossroads and amongst beautiful scenery. The Pillars creates purposeful lifestyles for our seniors with dedicated staff to meet their needs in a variety of ways. This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents' physical and emotional wellbeing. Role will also be given full on the job training to pass medications.

This schedule includes:

• 56 hours per two week pay period ; Full Time


• Evening shift; shift differential of +$1/hour


• 2:00pm-10:30pm Shift


• Every other weekend rotation


• Eligible for full benefits package (paid time off, medical, dental, matching retirement, more)

Responsibilities

• Bathing/showering


• Foot and fingernail care


• Shaving


• Dressing


• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses


• Hair care


• Feeding


• Toileting


• Escorts


• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift

Provides Health-related Services As Directed

• Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)


• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse


• Performs specified home services:


• Performs laundry service per schedule.


• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.


• Delivers meal trays.


• Assists with meal service in dining room.


• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.


• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.


• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.


• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment


• Offers pertinent observations and input.


• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.
