Job summary

Great Lakes Management (GLM) is seeking a Resident Assistant in Grand Rapids, MN. The role involves hands-on care, assisting residents with daily living activities, and supporting dining and activities.

48-hour pay periods with a pay range of $18.00 to $22.00 annually, location at Pillars of Grand Rapids, and shift differentials. The Resident Assistant provides physical and emotional support, communicates changes to the case manager, and maintains daily documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in long term care or assisted living preferred.
• Registered as CNA/HHA or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated by service agreement.
• Help residents reach and maintain highest level of independence.
• Provide physical and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance and engagement.
• Complete required documentation daily and manage care schedules.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilitie s :

• Assistresidents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) asindicatedon the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach andmaintainthe highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assistwith treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistantobservesclientsand reportschanges in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc.tothe casemanager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications :

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.
