Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant to deliver hands-on physical and emotional care per each resident’s service plan, while communicating with families and coordinating with the case manager.

You will assist in dining, participate in activities, and document care daily. This overnight, full- or part-time role offers $17.00–$24.00 hourly, shift differentials, a 401(k) match, free meals, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on the service agreement.
• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the service agreement.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, and logs.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .
