Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant for full-time day-to-evening shifts (2p–10p), totaling 64 hours per pay period. The position offers hourly pay from $17.00 to $23.00, with shift differentials and a 401(k) match.

You will support residents with daily activities and participate in social activities within the community. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, communicating with residents and families, and reporting changes to the case manager.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Register as CNA/Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated in the service plan.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support and engage in activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the service plan.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilitie s :

• Assistresidents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) asindicatedon the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach andmaintainthe highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assistwith treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistantobservesclientsand reportschanges in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc.tothe casemanager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
