Job summary

Arbor Garden Place is seeking Caregivers to provide compassionate care to residents in our senior living communities. You will assist with activities of daily living, meals, and safety, while collaborating with nurses and other staff to maintain a supportive environment.

The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and teamwork, with opportunities for ongoing training and growth within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a caregiver or home health aide is preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training upon hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to provide care with kindness, patience, and respect for residents’ dignity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility.
• Support residents during mealtimes and activities to ensure comfort and dignity.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, ensuring safety.
• Assist with transferring residents and light housekeeping as needed.
• Monitor residents’ health and report changes to nursing or leadership staff.

What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)

Deliver Compassionate Resident Care:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents during mealtimes, recreational activities, and daily routines, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, ensuring safety and attentiveness at all times.

Support a Safe & Healthy Environment:

• Assist with transferring and positioning residents, using proper safety techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor residents’ health and behavior, and report any changes or concerns to nursing or leadership staff.

Promote Engagement & Well-Being:

• Build positive, supportive relationships with residents and families.
• Encourage resident participation in social and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
• Uphold the mission, values, and care standards of Health Dimensions Group in all interactions.

Collaborate with Team Members:

• Work alongside nurses, dining, and life enrichment staff to coordinate and deliver holistic care.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay current on care practices and community updates.

What You Bring to the Table (Besides Your Big Heart)

Experience & Training:
