Akkodis is seeking two full-time Resident Application Engineers - Automotive Plastics/ Injection Molded Products to join our Detroit Metro team. You will represent a Tier 1 supplier at OEM sites and serve as the technical and commercial interface among engineering, sales, manufacturing and programs.

Ideal candidates have plastics injection molding or automotive manufacturing experience, with design, quoting, molding, quality and program-management skills, plus strong communication with OEM

Akkodis is seeking two full-time Resident Application Engineers - Automotive Plastics/ Injection Molded Products to join our dedicated team in the Detroit Metro area.

As a Resident Engineer, you'll be representing an automotive Tier 1 Supplier at one of two key OEM customers. We are looking for experienced engineers who can work directly at the OEM site and serve as the technical and commercial link between the customer and our internal engineering, sales, manufacturing, and program teams.

The ideal candidate would have experience in plastics injection molding and/or automotive manufacturing, with a strong understanding of part design, commercial quoting, molding processes, quality, and program management.

The role will require someone who is comfortable working directly with OEM engineering and purchasing teams, resolving technical issues, supporting new product launches, and identifying opportunities to strengthen the customer relationship.

Starting Pay Range: $95,000 to $125,000/yr. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Resident Application Engineer - Automotive Plastics/ Injection Molded Products job responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary engineering interface between our company and the OEM

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree is required.
• Ideally, 4+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within automotive plastics, injection molding, tooling, or a Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier environment.
• Current/prior experience associated with Ford or Toyota via a Tier 1/2 automotive supplier or previously direct with the OEM.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, project management, and customer-facing skills are essential.
