Job summary

Akkodis is seeking two full-time Resident Application Engineers - Automotive Plastics/ Injection Molded Products to join our Detroit Metro team. You will represent a Tier 1 supplier at OEM sites and serve as the technical and commercial interface among engineering, sales, manufacturing and programs.

Ideal candidates have plastics injection molding or automotive manufacturing experience, with design, quoting, molding, quality and program-management skills, plus strong communication with OEM

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
4+ years in automotive plastics, injection molding, tooling or Tier 1/2 supplier.
Experience with Ford or Toyota at OEM or Tier 1/2 supplier.
Strong communication, problem-solving, project management and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Act as primary engineering interface between our company and the OEM.
Support quoting, new business development and cost-reduction initiatives.
Develop product and process from concept to production launch.
Coordinate design reviews, tooling, mold trials and engineering changes.
Troubleshoot molding, tooling, dimensional and quality issues.
Collaborate with OEM engineering, purchasing, quality and program teams.
Communicate customer requirements and drive timely resolution.
