Qualifications

• Understanding of homelessness and mental health needs.
• Knowledge of AA/NA and other recovery programs is essential.
• Computer skills including email, internet use, and basic data entry.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Awareness of culturally specific resources.
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and navigate stairs.
• Understand substance use disorder and recovery needs.

Responsibilities

• Know emergency procedures and attend quarterly reviews.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents under laws.
• Uphold program policies and Missions Inc. policies.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training.
• Assist in resident transportation.
• Answer incoming calls.
• Monitor medication and log discrepancies.
• Conduct random urinalysis screenings.
• Perform visual resident checks and document status.
• Complete building checks per shift.
• Conduct bedroom inspections.
• Coordinate advocacy with social services for residents.
• Organize recreational and group activities for residents.
• Complete resident intakes and orient new residents.
• Assign rooms and distribute items; share information on resources.
• Review progress notes bi-weekly.
• Update progress notes as needed.
• Complete pre-admission interviews and intakes.
• Develop and maintain resource information.
• Facilitate groups.
• Complete clerical tasks as requested by Program Manager.
