Job summary

The Salvation Army Hawaiian & PI Div in Honolulu seeks a Resident Advisor / Outreach Coordinator to lead street-level outreach and ministry for at-risk youth and the homeless. You will mentor team members, build partnerships with local groups, and coordinate mission activities across multiple Salvation Army locations under Revolution Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of Urban Mission experience or be a Revolution Hawaii graduate.
• Broad knowledge of Salvation Army beliefs, practices, and programs.
• Experience working with homeless populations and at-risk youth.
• Experience leading people and coordinating volunteers.
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with community groups, churches, and nonprofits to expand outreach.
• Organize and lead street-level outreach, serve food, distribute supplies, and provide spiritual support.
• Supervise team members during field training and ensure mission-driven outcomes.
• Coordinate transportation and field activities with directors and volunteers.
• Assist with reports, curriculum development, and participation in staff meetings.
