Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous admissions, healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance verification preferred.
• Experience with PointClickCare or another EHR is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a busy environment.
• Confidentiality and professionalism in handling information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as welcoming first contact for residents, families, hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral sources.
• Respond to admission inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate and schedule resident admissions and pre-admission assessments.
• Prepare, organize, and distribute admission packets and forms.
• Assist with insurance verification, authorizations, benefits, and financial eligibility.
