Job summary

Ohio Living in Cleveland is seeking an Activities Assistant to support programs that enhance residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being. You will implement daily activities, encourage participation in hobbies, and help create meaningful experiences for seniors across care levels.

Collaborating with the care team, you’ll plan events, maintain monthly activity logs, and ensure documentation meets company standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year activities experience preferred.
• Two years experience in a long-term care or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Sitting, standing, and walking up to 8 hours/day; lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide activities to meet residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Encourage participation in hobbies and crafts.
• Coordinate parties, movies, games, and other activities for residents."
• Maintain monthly activity logs and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
