Job summary

PACS Group is seeking an Activity Assistant to support an engaging activities program for residents. You will assist in planning and conducting individual and group activities, coordinate calendars, and help communicate with families and staff to meet residents' psychosocial needs.

The role involves assisting with assessments, maintaining attendance, and ensuring a safe, welcoming activity environment in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to read policies and procedures.
• Ability to interpret numbers and basic fractions, percentages, ratios.
• Comfort presenting information to managers, staff, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting activities for residents of various levels.
• Help maintain monthly calendars, attendance, and activity records.
• Coordinate transportation needs for residents as required.
• Support communication between staff, residents, families and agencies.
• Ensure the activity area is clean, organized, and safe for residents.
