Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in healthcare, volunteering or personal experience with the disabled population.
• Knowledge of Federal and State activity regulations and ability to interpret.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Bi-lingual abilities may be preferred by facility.
• Must have a valid IL driver's license.
• Must be punctual and time efficient, especially regarding the activity calendar.
• Demonstrates empathy, compassion, enthusiasm, personable, energetic, positive, and humorous interpersonal skills.
• Ability to relate to ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and hostile individuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with community, health professionals, organizations, and other providers.
• Understand and manage emotional needs of self and staff.

• Support and follow the Activity Program’s mission, policies, procedures and regulations.
