Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC is seeking an Activities Assistant to help plan, execute, and evaluate the resident activity program. The role supports crafts, games, music, and social events, and may involve newsletter tasks and coordinating supplies.

As part of a care-focused team, you’ll inform residents of events, encourage participation, and assist with transportation needs. A valid driver's license and English communication skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Activity programming/recreation training and/or related experience preferred.
  • Must enjoy working with the elderly and interact with residents safely.
  • Ability to speak and write English clearly for resident communication.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to assist residents on/off bus or van and move furniture; lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Position requires work indoors and outdoors within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with residents’ activity program as directed by the Activities Director (crafts, bingo, discussion, music group, etc.).
  • Keep residents informed of scheduled programs and help with required documentation; promote participation and satisfaction.
  • May transport residents to activities and appointments within facility guidelines.
  • Assist the Activity Director in creating new programs, trips, etc., per residents’ needs and requests.
  • Support other departments as part of the team.
  • Treat all residents with dignity and respect.
