Oak Park Place in Madison, WI, is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan, organize, and implement recreational and social events that enhance residents' well-being and promote regular socialization and physical activity.

The role works under the Activity Director to create a well-balanced program, lead arts, crafts, and games, generate positive energy, and coordinate with other departments to meet resident needs; prior elderly care or activity role experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help plan, organize, and implement a well-balanced activity program.
• Lead and promote recreational activities such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to meet resident needs.
• Assess resident interests to tailor activities.
