Job summary

Oak Park Place is seeking an Activity Assistant in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The role supports residents by planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to promote wellbeing and regular socialization.

Under the supervision of the Activity Director, you’ll lead activities, encourage participation, collaborate with other departments, and tailor programs to residents’ needs. A positive attitude and experience with the elderly are valued, with prior activity-related work preferred.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly
