Job summary

Oak Park Place in Oak Creek, WI is seeking an Activity Assistant for full-time, non-exempt hours. Typical hours are 8:00 am–4:30 pm, three days per week with every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Base pay ranges from $14.25 to $17.25 per hour, with a supportive team focused on resident well-being.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing activities to promote socialization and physical activity, coordinating with departments, and tailoring programs to residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity's role preferred.

The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planing, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly
