Job summary

Oak Park Place in Madison, WI is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan and implement recreational and social activities for residents, under the direction of the Activity Director.

You will organize, lead, and promote arts, crafts, games, and other activities; help tailor programs to individual needs; and collaborate with all departments to ensure residents are engaged and well cared for. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program.
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly.
