Job summary

Oak Park Place in Wisconsin is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan and implement recreational and social activities for residents, promoting regular socialization and physical activity. You will work under the Activity Director to organize a well-balanced activity program and ensure resident engagement.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program under the direction of the Activity Director.
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly.
