Job summary

Oak Park Place in Albert Lea, MN is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan and run recreational and social events that promote well-being and resident engagement.

You will work under the Activity Director to organize programs, lead arts, crafts, and games, and collaborate with all departments to meet residents’ needs. A positive attitude and prior eldercare or activity experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Experience with elderly preferred.
• Experience in an activity role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement recreational and social events to enhance residents' well-being.
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in activities such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are met.
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly.
