Wedgemere Healthcare is seeking an Activities Assistant to create and lead group and individual activities for residents, promoting an engaging and joyous atmosphere. The role supports the Activity Director in planning and implementing enriching programs while transporting residents as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in long-term care. Strong communication, confidentiality, and team-oriented attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual activities for residents.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
• Facilitate activities and promote an engaging, joyous atmosphere.
• Assist Activity Director with planning, development and implementation of activities.
• Support HIPAA compliance and protect sensitive resident information.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
