Wedgwood Gardens Care Center in Freehold, NJ seeks an energetic Activity Aide to support the Activities Director in leading social, recreational, and therapeutic programs for residents in long-term care, assisted living, or adult day facilities. You’ll help plan and run daily activities, assist with transport, and ensure a safe, engaging environment.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in senior living, long-term care, or recreational programming preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain during onboarding.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record preferred for transport/outings.
• Strong English communication and a patient, cheerful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily group activities (arts and crafts, bingo, music, exercise, trivia) and conduct 1-on-1 bedside visits for room-bound residents.
• Safely assist residents to and from activity areas, events, and community outings.
• Set up rooms, prepare supplies, and clean spaces before and after scheduled activities.
• Log resident attendance/participation and report changes in status to nursing staff.
