Job summary

Wentworth Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc. in Chicago seeks a dedicated Activities Aide to implement the daily activity calendar and support the Activity Program's mission while ensuring residents’ psychosocial, medical, and activity needs are met.

Responsibilities include leading a therapeutic, person-centered activity program, documenting progress, coordinating with staff, and assisting with resident outings and engagement with the community.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or equivalent verification and successful competency evaluation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year healthcare experience or relevant volunteer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a therapeutic, person-centered activity program.
• Document and monitor resident activity participation and progress.
• Coordinate resident outings and community involvement.
• Follow Activity policies and Federal/State regulations.
• Understand residents' backgrounds to tailor activity plans.
• Maintain activity calendars, boards, and materials.
