Job summary

Aperion Care West Chicago is seeking an Activity Assistant/Aide to support resident activity programs aligned with assessments and care plans. You will assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating programs while ensuring a warm and respectful environment for residents.

Responsibilities include preparing activity spaces, maintaining records, and assisting residents with crafts and social engagements as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm and adapt to residents at varying maturity levels.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing & evaluating activity programs.
• Maintain warm, calm environment and good rapport with residents and other departments.
• Prepare activity rooms and procure supplies for activities.
• Follow care plans and assist residents with daily activities and crafts.
