Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator to lead and manage the Internal Medicine Residency Program's educational and administrative operations, ensuring accreditation timelines are met and processes run smoothly.

The coordinator serves as a primary resource for the Program Director, APDs, chief residents, faculty, staff, residents, and affiliated partners across GME platforms.

Qualifications

• To qualify you must have a BA Degree plus 2-3 years of responsible office administration experience, preferably in medical education or a healthcare setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the planning, coordination, and day-to-day operations of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, ensuring objectives, accreditation requirements, and timelines are met.
• Serve as a primary resource for the Program Director, APDs, chief residents, faculty, staff, residents, and partners regarding processes, systems, and timelines.
• Assess program needs; analyze data, policies, and requirements; develop recommendations and process improvements.
• Develop and evaluate program procedures, workflows, tools, and training resources to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Lead resident recruitment and selection processes, including ERAS, interviews, communications, and Match activities.
• Manage resident onboarding, credentialing, onboarding processes, and coordination with GME offices and affiliated hospitals.
• Oversee scheduling and logistics for rotations, conferences, and educational activities across sites.
• Maintain residency program systems and data quality in platforms like New Innovations and related GME databases.
• Coordinate evaluations, program reviews, and accreditation data collection; provide leadership with actionable insights.
• Manage program finances, reimbursements, purchase requests, and budgets; support leadership with process improvements.
• Lead meetings, orientations, and educational events; coordinate stakeholders for successful execution.
