Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside in New York seeks a Residency Program Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of the residency and/or fellowship program for residents, fellows, and attendings, under the guidance of the Residency Program Director. This role ensures timely submission of house staff appointment applications and maintains rotation schedules and records.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of administrative experience in a medical/academic setting and familiarity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years administrative experience in a medical and/or academic setting.
  • Certified as TAGME (Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of the resident/fellow interview process including scheduling interview dates and confirming meetings.
  • Coordinate with House Staff Affairs and Human Resources to ensure completion of ERAS documents and licensing requirements.
  • Implement and train users on New Innovations residency management software and maintain AMA tracking data.
  • Coordinate Orientation Day for new house staff and revisions to the Residency Training Program Manual.
  • Serve as resource for house staff; notify residents of schedules, vacations, conferences, and leaves; assist international applicants with visa processes and required documents.
  • Prepare resident/fellow schedules including didactic lectures and grand rounds; coordinate lecturers, topics, and audiovisual needs.
  • Provide administrative oversight for residency and fellowship programs, maintain records, and assist with verification requests.
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements, submit duty hour reports, track evaluations, and manage moonlighting information.
  • Arrange resident/fellow participation in Core Curriculum, conferences, and NRMP submissions; maintain attendance records and competency-based curriculum.
  • Maintain residency curriculum and program manuals; ensure complete data for resident procedures and rotations.
  • Prepare materials for internal program reviews and assist with external verifications.
  • Perform other related duties.
