Job summary

Washington State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Residence Life in Pullman, WA. This role reports to the Director and directly supervises Residential Education Directors across multiple halls, coordinating desk operations and training initiatives while guiding student staff.

The position involves on-call duties, collaboration with university partners, and handling daily administrative tasks along with other department responsibilities in a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4 years of relevant experience, incl. 1 year in a supervisory role.
• A Master's degree can substitute for up to one year of the required experience.
• Supervisory experience of graduate hall directors or paraprofessional staff is expected.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision and evaluation of Residential Education Directors within the WSU hall system.
• Coordinate desk operations across up to 12 residence halls and staff training initiatives.
• Oversee and advise departmental committees and respond to student emergencies.
• Serve as liaison with university partners and manage daily administrative duties.
• Address student and staff concerns and perform additional department responsibilities.
