Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking a Residence Coordinator in New York to oversee daily staff assignments and ensure a residence operates per agency policy. You will provide comprehensive support to residents to promote independence and well-being, with proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office required.

The role involves supervising DSPs, staff training, assisting residents with daily living, coordinating activities, administering medications, and attending trainings such as AMAP and CPR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred or a combination of education and experience.
• One to two years of experience working with the developmentally disabled is necessary.
• A valid NYS Driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Promote resident independence, dignity, social responsibility, and personal growth through supportive daily interactions.
• Implement individualized goals established by the IDT, including budgeting, grooming, nutritional planning, transportation training, community resource use, shopping, and housekeeping.
• Provide daily supervision to DSPs, reviewing documentation and supporting staff training and orientation.
• Assist residents with personal needs and activities of daily living.
• Support residents in developing self-help and social skills.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team activities including assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, and family communication.
• Administer medications and maintain required medical certifications.
• Coordinate and participate in recreational activities.
• Transport residents to appointments, activities, and programs as needed.
