Job summary

The Prospect Park YMCA, part of the YMCA of Greater New York, seeks a Residence Director to lead and manage the Community House operations. You will supervise housing tenants, ensure compliance with leases and laws, and coordinate with Social Services and NYC agencies to deliver a safe, welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of customer service experience; Level II 3–5 years; Level III 5+ years experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day operations of Prospect Park Community House.
• Coordinate with Social Services and external partners to ensure compliance and occupancy goals.
• Manage leases, rents, and tenancy matters; liaise with attorneys on eviction proceedings as needed.
• Oversee room readiness, occupancy approvals, and vendor relationships; monitor payroll reports.
