Job summary

ExxonMobil in Spring, Texas (Houston area) seeks a reservoir engineer to provide technical expertise for conventional oil and gas development. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams on reservoir characterization, planning and production optimization to maximize asset value.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1–3 years of industry experience, plus hands-on reservoir simulation (INTERSECT/Eclipse).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required - preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical; Advanced Degrees welcome.
1–3 years of industry experience in Conventional Reservoir Engineering.

Responsibilities

Perform reservoir modeling and simulation to support conventional and/or deepwater developments.
Conduct reservoir depletion planning and field development planning.
Perform reserves assessments and identify production or injection optimization opportunities.
Plan, evaluate and/or execute appraisal and field development / drill well programs.
Identify key reservoir uncertainties and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
Improve reservoir description through fluid analysis, core evaluation, well testing interpretation, and production performance analysis.
