Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or life sciences.
• Experience with tissue culture and molecular biology techniques.
• Comfort working with zebrafish larvae or adult specimens, including monitoring, behavioral scoring, genotyping, and tailfin amputation.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory support: Prepare and maintain lab equipment, solutions, stains, assays, and other essential supplies.
• Techniques & assays: Perform specialized techniques, such as CRISPR screening, flow cytometry, sterile mammalian tissue culture, cellular transfection (lipofectamine), molecular protein design and engineering, fluorescent imaging, paraffin tissue processing & embedding.
• Animal handling: Conduct animal studies, including injections, tissue/fluids collection, and animal autopsies, euthanasia, animal-handling and nursery.
• Data management: Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.
• Collaboration: Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.
