Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Research Technician to join the Single-cell Analytics Innovation Lab (SAIL). The role focuses on developing and applying spatial genomics technologies to study tumor heterogeneity and the tumor-immune environment, in collaboration with clinical trial teams.

The candidate will prepare and maintain lab materials, run spatial genomics assays, manage data, and contribute to cross-disciplinary projects in a dynamic wet-lab setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience.
• Background in molecular biology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain lab equipment, reagents, assays, and other essential supplies.
• Test and develop new reagents and protocols of general interest for the lab.
• Develop and run spatial genomics assays.
• Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.

Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: Join our Research Team as a Senior Research Technician! A driving motivation of the Single-cell Analytics Innovation Lab (SAIL) at MSKCC is to develop cutting-edge single-cell and spatial genomics experimental technologies, including single-cell genomics and multiplexed imaging, to explore questions in tumor heterogeneity, metastasis, and the tumor-immune environment.

The work in our dynamic multi-disciplinary team involves the use of technologies such as droplet microfluidics, spatial genomics, imaging, molecular biology, and high-throughput sequencing. We are seeking a diligent and dedicated wet-lab researcher who is interested in learning about and developing new technologies for cancer research.

Role Overview

Laboratory Support: Prepare and maintain lab equipment, reagents, assays, and other essential supplies; test and develop new reagents and protocols of general interest for the lab.

Techniques & Assays: Develop and run spatial genomics assays.

Data Management: Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.

Collaboration: Participate in projects to collect large-scale single-cell datasets in collaboration with clinical trial teams.
