A Brief Overview

This entry-level research technical role participates in research projects by performing protocols, experimental procedures, and other laboratory tasks under supervision. May exercise minimal discretion in execution and interpretation of experiments and data.

About The Laboratories

We seek a motivated individual for a Research Technician II position in the laboratories of Dr Tamir Diamond and Dr Alyssa Baccarella in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. The role involves working on diverse projects, including tissue staining, imaging, single cell RNA sequencing preparation, PBMC isolation, flow cytometry, and more. Prior experience is preferred but not necessary. The candidate should be organized, communicative, and eager to learn.

What You Will Do

  • Perform routine tests/experiments under supervision.
  • Record and verify experiment results.
  • Maintain lab notebooks, records, and protocols.
  • Assist with planning research protocols.
  • Maintain lab equipment and supplies.
  • Attend courses and meetings to expand knowledge.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Conduct literature searches as directed.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of related lab experience or completion of a technical training program required.
  • 2 years of related experience preferred.
