Job summary

Texas A&M University is seeking a highly organized Research Security Coordinator to support a research enterprise by ensuring compliance with export controls, conflicts of interest and commitments, and research security regulations. The role collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and collaborators to navigate complex regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Advise faculty, staff, and students on research protocols and Federal regulations for subjects in research, teaching, and testing.
Provide preliminary review of protocols for compliance with recommendations to supervisor and customers.
Provide expertise in research and teaching for investigators and committee members in compliance guidance.
Communicate with and provide timely responses related to compliance reviews, including issues of non-compliance.
Respond to questions regarding the compliance program.
Develop or modify standard operating procedures (SOPs) and office processes.
Review and update SOPs and coordinate committee meetings, including minutes and regulatory language.
Monitor committee email and coordinate with other offices and programs.
Monitor document submissions, reports, and notices for quality control and record-keeping.
Assist in the development of regulatory training materials.
