Job summary

Attain Partners is seeking a Research Security Officer to implement and maintain university client export controls and research security compliance programs. You will serve as the expert on export controls, partnering with institutional leaders to ensure regulatory adherence and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities include program execution, policy development, and cross-department collaboration to promote a culture of ethics and compliance.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of ITAR, EAR, OFAC regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing research compliance programs and global trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a culture of compliance and oversees adherence to regulations.
• Executes compliance program activities including risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Serves as the institution’s research security point of contact and export control lead.
• Manages export control program and ITAR license processes; assesses license requirements.
• Develops and updates policies to support export control compliance.
• Builds relationships across departments to promote ethics and compliance.
• Maintains expertise on ITAR, EAR, OFAC and related regulations.
• Reviews proposals and contracts for export control terms and conditions.
